Barry Neame, CEM, PCO-DIR

Barry has extensive event management, marketing, public relations, media and sponsorship experience developed over 30 years. He has undertaken management and organisational reviews, negotiated sponsorship contracts and devised marketing and public relations strategies. Barry has facilitated, as well as organised and coordinated training workshops, conferences, seminars and major industry dinners.

As a sports administrator, he travelled extensively and internationally, to major meetings, conferences and sporting tournaments. He was a member of the Organising Committee for the World Youth Soccer Championships held in Australia and has a sound understanding of the logistical issues associated with planning managing large events, as well as a sound understanding of international protocols.

Barry was Executive Director of the Canberra Cannons Basketball Franchise for 4 years and has extensive experience in developing media strategies, marketing plans and obtaining sponsorship.

Barry was a board member of Community Radio 2SSSFM for 15 years and is currently a board member of the Canberra Convention Bureau and the PCO Association.

Barry is a great cook, and loves nothing better than cooking for a group of friends. He adores his 5 grandchildren, who provide him with much needed time out!

Pamela Neame, AMM, PCO-DIR

In 1995, Pamela commenced her own conference management business, Consec - Conference Management and since then Consec has managed many conferences, events and workshops Australia wide. She is very proud of the fact that Consec has developed a reputation for providing a high level of service to conference delegates from a wide range of industries, communities, cultures and countries.

Pamela has had some 30 years experience in the area of conference/event management, secretariat services and office administration. With an Australia-wide network of conference industry contacts, she has developed a reputation as a "people" person using her consultation and liaison skills effectively in communicating with others. She is a strong advocate of developing working relationships based on trust and effective communication and believes she has done so with each of the conferences she has managed. Pam believes productive liaison and communication between all parties ensures a spirit of teamwork and cooperation.

Pamela was a board member of Lifeline Australia (Canberra) for 5 years and member of their Marketing & Promotions Sub-Committee for 7 years. She is an Accredited Meetings Manager and was the Executive Officer of the Meetings Industry Association of Australia (MIAA) ACT Branch for 3 years. She has also taught Conference Program Development at the Canberra Institute of Technology.

When she gets a minute, Pam enjoys spending time with her grandchildren. She also likes to play computer solitaire,watch movies, listen to music and catch up with friends for coffee and a chat.

Kellie Singer, Dip Event Mgt, Senior Conference Coordinator

Kellie started with Consec in August 2009 and has had over 15 years customer service and management experience, developed from a strong retail background. She completed her Diploma of Events Management at the CIT in 2009 to compliment her extensive working experience and is looking forward to further study in the events in the coming years.
She has a professional work ethic, is very adaptable and thrives working in a constantly changing environment. Kellie has a great sense of humour and enjoys working with a wide variety of people on a daily basis. She has also received training in a variety of administrative roles and has very strong organisational skills.

Kellie has had extensive training in several ticketing systems and during her 10 years in the music industry she coordinated many high profile instore performances and events.

Kellie enjoys spending time with friends and family in both Canberra and Brisbane, live music, travel, reading and cooking.

Mary Tough, Finance Officer

Mary is responsible for all the Consec business finances and has been part of the Consec team for 15 years. Previously to becoming part of the Consec team, she worked for 14 years in the finance area of Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecutions and was promoted to Office Manager in her final three years. She has since worked for a number of small businesses and is highly proficient in the use of finance software packages, MYOB and Quicken.

Mary is a really keen bridge player and often plays with her husband and daughter in competitions on the weekends. She also loves spending time in her garden and listening to music.

Vanessa Ryan, Conference Coordinator

Vanessa's enthusiastic approach to sales & marketing has brought a new exciting element to Consec.

She has extensive experience in marketing & enjoys the challenge of multitasking large projects. Her background in sales & marketing, event management & advertising sales has given her strong communication skills, effective time management & reliable organisation skills.

Vanessa enjoys interacting with a wide range of people & enjoys working in a team to achieve the ultimate result.

She has received a variety of training in administrative roles & has received multiple awards for projects she has coordinated.

Vanessa loves spending time with family & friends, road trips, music and a good laugh over classic movies.

Aaron Neame, Client Relationship Manager

Aaron Neame as Client Relationship Manager brings a wealth of experience gained over 15 years to the Consec team.

Aaron's background includes Manager of Hoyts Woden Canberra Cinema complex for 5 years where he developed sales strategies; promoted and developed client relationships; developed, implemented and monitored local area marketing plans and reported on outcomes; managed the performance of over 70 staff, managed events for groups of up to 300 people and was the recipient of the "Creation of Product and Promotion" National Award.

He has strong and demonstrated sales, client relations, management and leadership skills, used to develop, motivate and oversee the smooth running of client focussed teams. He is conscientious and well regarded in the local business community with a sound record of providing high quality client service in a busy environment with many tight deadlines and performance goals.

Aaron loves the family life, AFL, camping and catching up with friends.

Stacey Rupil, BTrsm Mgt, Senior Conference Coordinator

Stacey has had over 4 years experience in administration and has now completed her Bachelor of Tourism Management at the University of Canberra. Stacey's knowledge in Event Management and conference planning has developed through her university studies, both locally and internationally.She spent 6 months of her degree studying at the University of Westminster, London where she undertook "conference planning" among other modules to increase her knowledge of the meetings and events industry. Stacey has been recognised for her hard work ethic, academic excellence and attention to detail by the University of Canberra. She was awarded the Outstanding Achievement in an Event Management Major, Academic Excellence by a 1st year Tourism Management Student, commendation for Learning and Development in Service Industry Management as well as commendation for academic excellence in Service Industry Research.

Stacey has a passion for travel and enjoys chatting, live music, snowboarding and camping. She has a particular interest in Asian cultures and is hoping to learn a second language so that she can at some stage work overseas.

Bronwyn Freeman, Conference Finance Manager

Bronwyn has worked for more than 12 years in business administration and the hospitality and meetings industries. In her role as Conference Finance Manager, she manages up to 20 conference accounts at one time. She also provides support to our conference teams and assists with training on the industry specific Events database.

Bronwyn enjoys spending time with her family, catching up with friends and reading.

Consec has a number of other staff employed on a casual basis, who are trained to assist with registrations and other conference/event duties when required.

Consec has, over many years, built up sound working relationships with a team of reliable service providers.
