Testimonials

Brett Heffernan, General Manager, Public Affairs, National Farmers' Federation

I just wanted to let you know, that we have appreciated not only the job you and your team have done in getting our first National Congress off the ground, but just as importantly, for the way you have gone about it. The feedback we have received from delegates about your preparedness and ability to juggle various demands and accommodate requests has been especially appreciated.

Professor Robert K Shepherd, PhD, Director, The Bionic Ear Institute

Many thanks again for your valuable contribution - the meeting's success, was in no small way, a result of your efforts. You must be very proud of your team - we really enjoyed working with them on this project.

Vanessa Lindsay, Assistant Director, Marketing & Events, Comcare

The services, skills and flexibility that the Consec team offered were invaluable and gave me every confidence that the administration of our events would be an enormous success. Once again, thank you for the exceptional contribution your team made in delivering these successful events. I look forward to working with Consec on our future events.

Mark McCabe, ACT Occupational Health & Safety Commissioner

Just a quick note to pass on my thanks for your help with this years' Safety Expo. I was very happy with the way it all went and there was nothing but favourable comments from all of the exhibitors.

"Consec has been acting as SimTecT Conference Organiser since the 2nd SimTecT Conference which was held in 1997. Throughout that time, Consec has acted as a partner with the various organising Committees, providing more than just simple conference logistics support, but invaluable assistance in defining and selling sponsorship packages, attracting exhibitors and advising on strategies to attract delegates. Barry and his team actively participate in the conference planning, making suggestions and ensuring that planning schedules are kept."

Philip Swadling, Chair, SimTecT Organising Committee

"The Australian Private Hospitals Association (APHA) has engaged Barry Neame and the Consec Team to negotiate and manage the APHA Annual National Congress and Exhibition since 2002. During this time, numbers have increased and the Congress Exhibition has expanded. As a result, the APHA Congress has gone from being cost neutral to being a major source of non-subscription revenue for the APHA. Consec's dedication to the APHA Congress over the years has resulted in the Congress becoming a signature event on the private health care industry's calendar and I would not hesitate to recommend Barry and the Consec Team to any organisation desiring a professional and effective conference organiser."

Michael Roff, Executive Director, Australian Private Hospitals Association

"The Institute of Quarrying - ACT Division has hosted two National Conferences in Canberra, and on both occasions, have been fortunate to have Consec - Conference Management involved in the organisation of the conference. Pam Neame’s skill, professionalism and enthusiasm in dealing with the various personalities involved with the organising committee, ensure the desired result was achieved with a minimum of fuss. Increasing demands on the time of committee members, required Consec to take on extra responsibilities for the conference, which included negotiation with exhibitors for the trade exhibition, organising three major functions over three days, culminating in a Ball held in the Great Hall. Consec's ability to meet the requirements of the sponsors while meeting the demands of the budget allowance set by the committee was exceptional. The Consec team is held in very high regard by the Institute and if you require any further information, please do not hesitate to contact me."

Wayne Gregory, Chairman, Institute of Quarrying, ACT Branch

"I can only speak to the highest regard for Barry Neame and his team. Their time management skills were fantastic and he coordinated the entire National Conference and Trade Exhibition without much input from my Scientific Committee and me. He essentially was responsible for the entire budget and fiscal management service with assistance both in securing sponsorship and attending to the sponsor requirements. All conference registration, which included the main conference and four large satellite meetings were all done through Consec and his financial records were impeccable.

Barry was certainly the most approachable conference organizer I have ever had the pleasure of working with and our geographical distance between Sydney and Canberra had no impact on the ease with which the conference was organized.

Subsequent to our success with Barry, we have also utilised him for our annual Australasian Rhinologic Society meetings, which are held each year and again, he was found by our entire executive committee to be fantastic. We also employed his services for a third time in the running of the Australasian Society of Paediatric Otolaryngology meeting in Fiji."

Dr Raymond Sacks, Convenor, Australian Society of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery Meeting

"I just wanted to express my appreciation for the quality of your work and that of your team leading up to SimTecT06 and for the smooth running of the conference last week. It has truly been the best SimTecT yet, and this is largely due to your experience and understanding of the conferencing domain, good planning and excellent execution by your team. Thanks for the excellent effort, help and support from you and your team in making this the best yet – until next year that is – I am sure that working together, and building on lessons learned, we will make SimTecT07 even better than this year, and aim to double our numbers in three years time."

Jawahar Bhalla, Chair, 2006 SimTecT Organising Committee

"In 2004, the Australian Defence Force Chief Information Officer tasked Communications Design and Management (CDM) with managing and convening the International Data Link Society’s (IDLS) annual international Symposium. CDM has a deep understanding of the technical aspects of data links, but little knowledge of how to actually convene a professional, world class convention that will be attended by 500-700 delegates with some 250-450 international delegates from Europe, the Americas and Asia. Accordingly, we engaged Consec – Conference Management as the conference management company. Consec performed all aspects of their contracts tasks stunningly well and solved a range of minor problems during the symposium that each had the potential to become major disasters. I am please to recommend Consec to any organisation that wants professional guidance on how to manage all aspects of running symposiums and gala events. We found that Consec is reliable, can be depended upon to do what they say they will do, in the time they committed to, provide sage advice on all aspects of conference management and are easy to deal with. All-in-all, Consec is a good organisation to work with."

Robert Sykes, CDM ACT Branch Manager

"We are very pleased indeed to have worked with Consec - Conference Management. The great success of our conference owes much to Consec's experienced management and highly efficient organisation.
At every point in our preparations, we could count on the Consec team for sound advice, timely reminders, thorough planning, and excellent contacts. Our dealings with Consec were marked by cordial cooperation throughout. And the same friendly atmosphere pervaded the conference itself: prompt and cheerful assistance was always available to delegates, nothing was too much trouble for Consec staff, and everything went remarkably smoothly. Thankyou, Consec!"

Dr Anthea Hyslop, Convenor, 'Medicine in Context': 10th Biennial Conference of the Australian and New Zealand Society of the History of Medicine
